As an education consultant he helps educators develop authentic, student-centered learning experiences that strengthen digital and civic literacy, and design innovative curriculum that fosters deeper learning and evidence of learning. The ultimate goal: to prepare students to be intellectually agile and emotionally resilient citizens and community members who have a lifelong love of learning.
What I believe
In times of rapid technological and social change, it can be hard to navigate the noise and find a clear path forward. I work with educators, leaders and organizations to discover their “why” and provide strategies and solutions aligned with their values. I help connect the dots and help people see that things are possible.
The point of school is not to get better at school–it's to develop intellectually agile, emotionally resilient citizens who are prepared to design their own creative solutions to future challenges. My books, courses, and workshops offer practical ways to foster the skills and mindsets these outcomes require, including student-centered learning experiences that elevate engagement, provide intrinsic motivation, and foster deeper learning.
