I moved to Los Angeles to earn my M.F.A. in Film Production because what I really wanted to do was be a director....
After completing my M.F.A., I landed a job teaching cinematic arts and broadcast journalism, and fell in love with teaching.
My passion for digital storytelling grew as my students created authentic projects that had a real impact on their community. I realized the power that collaborative, student-centered learning has on students and now strive to share those ideas with other educators.
I've been fortunate to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator, Lindblad/National Geographic Grosvenor Fellow, and by major universities and national organizations for my work. Collaboration with a diverse group of peers around the world fuels my journey to become a better educator and help others on their road to success. See my LinkedIn profile for more details.
